Match Report
Radley College Boys-U14C vs  Wellington College
On: Saturday, 07 May 2022
Venue: at Home

Watched over by one of the better known cricketing O.R.s, Wellington won the toss and put Radley into bat. A well paced start from captain Hartley (21) and Fortes-Whiddon (14) was capitalised upon by Sundavadra (35) before Weston and Bays really opened up the scoring with a quick fire 25 and 26 respectively, with keeper Smiley adding a useful 13 too. Radley finished on a promising 190-7 after 25 overs, and instantly put the visitors under pressure, taking 6 quick wickets for 40 runs, several of them courtesy of Bays who in the end took 5-27. A dogged 62 from the Wellington No.5, effectively supported by one Strauss Jnr, enabled Wellington to reach 140-9 by the close of their 25 overs, meaning the home side won by 50 runs.
