Match Report
Radley College Boys-U14A vs  Sherborne School
On: Saturday, 14 Sep 2019
Venue: Away

After twelve days of intensive training a buoyant Midgets 1 team quickly found their game stride after a long journey down to opponents Sherborne. The team under the leadership of Hector Harvey soon got onto the front foot with some strong forwards play and after a few minutes the rampaging Orlo Clark bundled his way under the posts for the first score of the season. Superior forward play saw Radley dominate many phases which allowed fly half Woody Walker to put width into the Radley game. The best try came early in the second half following a strong run by Davann Var with the ball quickly being transferred across the width of the field for Joe Ashford to score. Most pleasing was how the team began to mould as the game went on although the game finished with some rather frustrating handling errors, perhaps some over exuberant offloads were to blame; regardless, the enterprise to play was refreshing. However victory came at a price with a most unfortunate injury to Angus Gray Cheape who will be sorely missed by the team in the next few weeks.
