Match Report
Radley College Boys-U15C vs  St Edward's School, Oxford
On: Tuesday, 24 Sep 2019
Venue: at Home

A most irregular fixture: hosted by St. Edward's but played at Radley. Possibly a reason for running out of refreshments prior to the game. The Teddies' ref was nothing if not scrupulously fair, including allowing the final try and conversion scored by Radley to stand - but not awarding any points for the try and successful conversion, if the score is correct.

Ed Hamilton ran rampant, swelling in confidence his man sized frame terrorized the opposition. Verdin was committed and professional scoring the last try. Henry Cowen came into his own with some grandstanding ball carrying and rugged physicality. Eight tries were scored in all - a bonus point if we were in Japan. Conversions were less forthcoming with just two clearing the bar. Something to work on.

St. Edwards had some feisty individuals and Radley needed to maintain their shape to avoid being penetrated. The opposition did reach the Radley line twice but only grounded once - but did then convert well.

The match was played with uncontested scrums which was a shame. St. Paul's on Saturday will be a much tougher ask.
