The first half was a scrappy affair with Radley just holding the momentum through the mammoth tackling of Cooper and Peers. Both teams only needed one broken tackle to run in tries the whole length of the pitch, and the game was evenly balanced. In the second half, Cooper and Peers had run themselves into the ground with big hits, but the rest of the team responded to their leadership and took the fight to the opposition. Radley emerged much more comfortable winners on the scoresheet than it would have appeared to the observer on the touchline. A well ground-out victory.
