Match Report
Radley College Boys-U15D vs  Sherborne School
On: Saturday, 16 Sep 2023
Venue: at Home

Despite the team having been settled only the day before the match, the boys came together well for their first win of the season. In the first half, the ball was kept tight, with the scrum edging their way up the pitch with some solid crash balls. When however they looked to offload the ball, the pass was too often inaccurate, conceding unnecessary possession to the opposition. At half time, four tries has been scored, but Sherborne looked like they were coming back into the game, camped as they were in our 22. However, after the break, the team went to ground quicker when play became ragged, and then looked to use the backs more effectively, ably managed by Rittson-Thomas. Hemmings and Butter both dodged their through much traffic, whilst their passing became more accurate.Three tries from Will Rose reflected his pace, while Ricky Xia's two tries were due reward for the momentum he gave the side in loose play. Williams-Bulkeley, Bagchi, Attwater, Bland all contributed tries as well, while Rittson-Thomas kicked well off the tee, with 5 conversions. Much still needs to be worked on for Thursday, but overall this was good team effort.
