The first league game of the season did not disappoint. The Oratory started well having had an excellent preseason and were rightly awarded a clear penalty early on. However, Wilfrid Peers in goal for Radley made a terrific save to keep his side in the game. Radley grew into the game and Du Plessis scored a well taken goal shortly before half time to take the lead. After the break The Oratory continued to have the momentum and soon converted pressure into a goal from a corner kick. Radley stemmed the tide and had chances of their own late on but a drew was a fair result. Captain Burdett was superb at centre back all afternoon winning every one on one dual today. Lots for the team to improve on but a solid start to the season.
