Both coaches agreed that this was one of the best 1st XI performances witnessed on Bigside for some years. The squad has developed some good team spirit in the opening weeks of the season and the work rate today was first class. A real team performance with many standout performances but man of the match goes to Freddie Seabrooke against his old school. A special mention to Tom Shaw who kept goal superbly after a late replacement to Wilfred Peers with illness. Lade also made an immediate impact off the bench with a goal with his first touch on debut. Inglis scored our third with a top penalty to cap off a wonderful 18th birthday after a masterclass in midfield. A late free kick tucked away by Jiha Choi provided the icing on the cake, a 4-1 win against a good Tonbridge side. The 1st XI are still unbeaten- next up Teddies away in the League.
Goals: Choi, Du Plessis, Inglis, Lade O.
