A chastening day at home for Radley against an excellent Tonbridge side, who were at least two steps up from the opposition we had faced so far. Although the result was disappointing, and we had chances at 0-0, 0-1, and 0-2, it was a clear case of being outclassed. That said, there were lessons to be learned in terms of not chasing the game and trusting to the system - we went in 0-1 down at half-time, after a half of real discipline from most players, but in the second half, desperate to get that goal, we began chasing the ball, getting in each other's way, and leaving gaps in midfield which were exploited by some technical and strong Tonbridgeans. The match was played in a good spirit by both teams, and we go again, reforged in the fire of defeat.
