All statistics would point towards a very comfortable win here, but a 1-1 scoreline at half time tells a different story. Radley scored first in the match, but only fifteen minutes in, and conceded after the first and only really threatening attack of the half for Rugby, who took the chances presented to them ably. The goal made Radley stand up and pay attention, and a high-energy start to the second half saw them put the result beyond doubt with three quick-fire second half goals. Still Rugby wanted to give a good account of themselves, though, finding the determination to finish the second half as they had the first, with a well-taken goal to close off the match. For Radley, the need to convert chances to goals remains present, but there were encouraging tactical signs, with one textbook play down the right-hand wing producing a finely-worked team goal. A great squad performance, and a good first win of the season.
