Wellington were not as strong an opposition as usual but nonetheless Midgets 1 showed no mercy with a powerful display. Oyewumi was a threat throughout down the right wing and the other forwards all had plenty of opportunities to score. The deadlock was broken by Bremner from a short corner. Pushing home solidly after a rather botched routine before Hargreave, and 2 from Newbury made it 4-0 at half time. Their keeper made some very good saves, particularly from Rainsford who got forward impressively. Wickens went up front in the second half and netted a hat-trick and another goal for Hargreave made it 8-0.

There is a lot of potential in this team - I look forward to seeing how they develop over the term.
