Match Report
Radley College Midgets 2 vs  Eton College
On: Saturday, 24 Feb 2024
Venue: Away

Encouraged to pick up the game where they left off the last, Radley Midgets 2 did not disappoint. In a blistering start to the game, the pressure told after eight minutes, when Radley won their first short corner, a reward for considerable pressure. Olly B hit this cleanly to give us the lead. There was no let-up; though a strange second, it was fully deserved: Johnny K-B pulled the cross across goal and the goalie let it slip through. Another followed, with space found to Olly B who had space to create a reverse-stick finish, followed by a similar goal by Beetle on the left wing.

With the defence having held firm, with Fergus stepping up to take out much of the danger, a slip in concentration did allow Eton through, and with that a goal back to make it 1-4 at the break. The momentum was not quite the same in the second half, with a much more even affair. Eton fashioned more chances than they had, and with just minutes to play scored their second, catching Radley unawares by taking a quick hit from outside the 23 straight through to their striker.

A good match.
