This was a tight encounter, with St Mary's taking an early lead to set nerves aflutter in the Radley 2nd team (not as experienced as those waiting for their turn in the 1sts on the sideline). William Linke delighted the considerable supporters club with a goal in reply, before Hector Wade brought delirium for both himself and his fans ('There's only one Hector Wade' went the chant). JJ Ruane made it look like it could be a comfortable evening, but James Jenkins' debut goal was then struck off for a (very clear) foot in circle. St Mary's pulled one back to leave the score at just 3-2 at Half Time. With the second half tied 2-2 (Toby Wiggin and captain Will Rosling with the pick of the goals) the match finished with just the one goal separating the teams. Everybody who had shown up to training had their chance to play, with game time carefully managed amongst the substitutes to ensure the joy was shared.
