Theo Henman won a singles 6-2 with the aid of a small handicap (which he probably did not need) before Hugo Stone won 6-5 against an opponent that he should probably have beaten much more comfortably. Finally, Theo and Meeks Rutka (giving a small handicap) were too strong for their opponents after a competitive start (to 3-3) and won 6-3. Meeks played solidly and was a fine foil for Theo's aggression (two successive winning galleries may well be the highlight of his season thus far).
