With conditions perfect for expansive rugby, this was certainly a try-fest. Tonbridge opened the scoring, exploiting an overlap and their powerful winger shrugging off two cover tackles. Radley replied through Charlie Whitbread, and the game remained close until well into the second half. Radley looked like a side capable of producing a stellar performance at times, but poor discipline, overambition and sloppy execution cost them dear. Freddie Braybrook added two second half tries, but this wasn't enough and Tonbridge moved clear as comfortable winners. It is a shame not to have a return fixture later in the term, as Radley would have fancied their chances, but this defeat should spur them on to a better performance at Harrow.
