The final score does not tell the story of a very lively contest where the boys were tested physically in the first twenty minutes by spirited opposition. An uncharacteristically slow start gave Tonbridge encouragement but the boys grew into the game and the traditional Will JW opening try settled us. The breakdown was contested ferociously throughout but Radley proved more clinical as the half progressed and went into the break with a handy lead. A few technical tweaks at half time saw our attack function more cohesively in the second period and the end result was convincing. The boys will have learnt a huge amount from today’s game and we look forward to running out at home again next Saturday.
