Finally our second team had a full-blown (at least, as long as we had before supper) Lacrosse match to play. And they grasped the opportunity. Boasting serious inexperience (training attendance had been limited from some of this group), they fell to an early SHSK goal but quickly remembered how to control and play and largely through the excellent Patrick (positioned at Centre Forward to transmit his unconventional goal threat from training to match play), who scored four of Radley’s five goals to take a 1-0 deficit to a 5-1 advantage. The concession of a late goal levelled out the contest more fitting of the patterns of play on the field, with Radley ultimately coming through as 6-2 winners. A good match, well-contested by all involved.
