Radley College Boys-U16A vs  Warwick School
On: Tuesday, 21 Jan 2025
Venue: at Home

Following our rather scrappy performance on the weekend, this was a very pleasing result built on vast improvements in our ball retention and composure in possession. It was also good to welcome back the four 1st XI players. The first half was a tightly contested affair, with both teams carving out numerous opportunities, but both goalkeepers were in stellar form. The deadlock was broken with a fine Jerome Barnes finish, and Will Cordle doubled our lead following a sustained period of pressure. However, this was short-lived as Warwick bounced back with an excellent goal of their own. Fortunately, a crucial second Barnes goal from a penalty corner on the stroke of halftime restored the two-goal margin. The second half saw us take control of the game as Will Cordle and Manny Lumsden delivered two telling blows soon after halftime. The wind was now out of Warwick’s sails, and the chances continued to flow. Cordle completed a well-deserved hattrick, with Arthur Sweeting and Luca Newbury sealing a dominant victory.
