This was always likely to tough, up against a 2nd XI side of a sporting school, who had only lost 5-1 to our 3rds earlier in the season. The Radley boys made little of the home advantage, choosing to turn up rather too close to the push-back time and then getting caught with two early goals including one from a penalty stroke. Teddies were 4-0 up when a penetrative move led to a Radley goal, but 4-1 at half time became 6-1 at the end. Remarkably Radley had 75% possession and 8 strikes on goal, so the scoreline was not the full picture. Energy and endeavour grew as the match had progressed.
